Listen to Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" From Coming Live Reissue

Led Zeppelin has unveiled a live version of "Immigrant Song" in advance of the reissue of the band's How the West Was Won live album tomorrow, Friday, March 23.

Initially released in 2003, How the West Was Won highlights the best moments from a pair of 1972 Zeppelin concerts at the Los Angeles Forum and the Long Beach Arena.

The remastered version of "Immigrant Song" depicts the band beginning to realize its arena rock potential. The band shines on this version of the tune, bashing out the song's iconic main riff in between epic choruses and then launching into a psychedelic bridge guitar solo.

The audio from the two concerts is blended together and sequenced to replicate the setlist of a single Zeppelin show from that era.

The reissued package includes remastered audio on three CDs or four 180-gram vinyl LPs. There's a DVD of the album with a photo gallery and a book filled with rare and previously unpublished photos from both concerts. The first 30,000 sets will include individually numbered high-quality prints of the original album cover.

Led Zeppelin's 50th anniversary is in September.

Guitarist Jimmy Page has supervised the remastering of several Zeppelin releases. He has promised a big announcement later this year to celebrate the band's golden anniversary.
