'Game Of Thrones' Couple Kit Harington And Rose Leslie Reveal Wedding Date

Winter isn't coming anytime soon, but a Game of Thrones summer nuptials is just weeks away. Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, who played lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte on the HBO medieval fantasy series, will officially tie the knot on June 23, according to the BBC. Leslie and Harington will wed at a castle property in West Garioch constituency in the northeast of Scotland. The place belongs to the Scottish actress's father, councilor Seb Leslie.

The couple met on the set of the show back in 2012 but broke up a year later. In 2016, the co-stars rekindled their romance and announced their engagement last September… though the English actor admits his proposal to Leslie was less romantic than planned.

"Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love," Harington told L'Uomo Vogue about how he fell in love with his wife-to-be. "If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love."

Back in April, the twosome sent out 200 GoT-themed wedding invitations to guests welcomed to the ceremony.

Game of Thrones returns for its eighth and final season on HBO sometime in 2019.
