Roar, competing the smash-hit competition series The Voice, delivered a high-energy performance of “Wildflowers and Wild Horses,” during the live show. Roar took the stage in a black wardrobe and cowgirl hat with shimmering boots and fringe, belting Wilson’s song in front of a desert backdrop.
“[Jacquie Roar]… love this!” Wilson wrote on her Instagram story as she shared a video of the performance on Tuesday (December 5). “You absolutely killed this performance.”
Roar, a Granada Hills, California-born singer, shares in her bio on The Voice that she has valued hard work throughout her life. Throughout her experience as an artist, Roar has performed for Alan Jackson, Kelsea Ballerini, Martina McBride, Brett Young, Dan + Shay and others, and enjoys spending time with her family when she’s not on stage.
Wilson delivered a fiery performance of the same Bell Bottom Country song during the 57th annual CMA Awards last month. She took home five awards that night, including the Entertainer of the Year honor, becoming the first female artist to do so in more than a decade. Wilson said backstage that night that she always knew she would reach this point in her career: “I knew it. I knew it with every fiber of my being. …I do feel like I’m right where I’m supposed to be.”
