RaeLynn has “made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” the country star announced in a statement on Tuesday morning (July 14). The couple marked a decade of marriage earlier this year.
“After much thought and prayer, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” reads the statement posted to Instagram. “This has not been an easy decision. As a working mom, I am committed to giving my daughter the love, stability, and support she will need while we navigate this next chapter together. I am grateful for the love and encouragement of my family, friends, and fans, and I respectfully ask for privacy as we move forward with grace and compassion.”
RaeLynn, whose real name is Racheal Lynn Woodward, married Josh Davis in February 2016. They share daughter Daisy Rae Davis, who was born on September 8, 2021 in Nashville, Tennessee. Court records show RaeLynn filed for divorce on June 8. The Texas-born country artist, 32, launched her career on the second season of The Voice in 2012. She competed on Blake Shelton’s team when she was 17 years old. She has since become known for “God Made Girls,” “Love Triangle,” “Long Live Country Music,” “Queens Don’t,” “Rowdy” and other songs throughout her career. See RaeLynn’s statement here:
