LANCO Is Making Bands In Country Music Cool Again

LANCO has been busy working since their first album, Hallelujah Nights released last year and the hard-work is finally paying off. The guys are gearing up to release their brand new album, Rival!

Brandon Lancaster explains to The Bobby Bones Show that the groups first album was a compilation of years worth of writing and recording. They got to spend their entire lives preparing for that project. With Rival, Brandon says him and Tripp Howell wanted to stick to the theme of showing the world who they are while making something everyone can relate to. Rival, is essentially an anthem for being proud of who you are and where you came from despite those people who may not want you to succeed; chalk them up as a rival. Bobby jokes with the guys that their "rivals" are: Coldplay, Old Dominion, U2, basically any boy band who came before them because they paved the way for their band. The Bobby Bones Show claps for LANCO on bringing bands back to country music. Bobby says he believes LANCO and Old Dominion are the two bands that really showed everyone else that it is cool to have a band again.

LANCO was recently asked to join a reboot project of Brooks and Dunn's, artists they have always been inspired by. Brandon says it was a dream come true to be featured on one of their songs, "Mama Don't Get Dressed Up For Nothing." This song is part of Brooks and Dunn's reboot project (available April 5th) which LANCO says is a huge honor to be apart of!

In other news, the band was invited to tour with Luke Combs this year on his Beer Never Broke My Heart Tour. The artists met about 4 years ago at Tin Roof in Memphis. Luke was playing a show for about 30 people and afterwards the guys all hung out and became friends!

The LANCO guys are excited to perform their new music. Bobby says they really know how to put on a good show since Brandon loves to crowd surf among other crazy stunts. Their show is one you won't want to miss! Check out their version of "Mama Don't Get Dressed Up For Nothing" on The Bobby Bones Show here.
