TMSG: WWII Army Veteran Gets Over 5,000 Birthday Cards

John Frey recently turned 101 and for his birthday his family requested 101 birthday cards to celebrate the World War II Veteran's big day. Shortly after his birthday his family checked to see how many cards they received and they found well over 5,000 cards. The cards came from all 50 states and at least 12 countries. Entire classrooms of children, military veterans and Utah's elected officials wanted to wish the former mechanic/machinist for the U.S. Army a happy birthday.

Frey said he wasn't expecting that many cards and was overwhelmed by the love he received. Frey also said the excitement is a bit tiring, but he is so appreciative and full of love!
