Trace Adkins has guns blazing as he rides back to the silver screen in a new country music drama, 'Monarch.'
In a recent interview with Cody Alan, the longtime country music entertainer revealed that while he is playing a role that mirrors his profession, this role is actually a first for him.
"I pull a gun in this movie, but I don't actually shoot anybody," says Trace. "Which I think that may be a first for me in a Western. I have shot people in every one, I think."
"I didn't get killed in this one either, which is unusual," laughs the country singing gunslinger. "I have been getting killed in every movie I do for the last couple of years, but they didn't kill me in this one."
Watch for 'Monarch' out Sunday, January 30, and catch Trace take on the role of Albie Roman, the reigning "King Of Country Music," alongside Susan Sarandon playing Dottie Cantell Roman.
The story tells the tale of Albie and Dottie, who have built a country music dynasty. However, their success is all based on a lie that they will do anything and everything to protect.
