Surprise, surprise: Brett Young has returned with new music.
On Friday (April 23), the singer announced a brand-new collection called Weekends Looks A Little Different These Days in conjunction with the release of a surprise single, "Not Yet." "Not only is my new single 'Not Yet' available now, I'm dropping a new 8 song collection on June 4th!” he told his social media following, adding, "Pre-order it now and get the new track instantly. Can’t wait for y'all to hear it."
For the offering, Young delivers a sweet message paired with some uptempo production, courtesy of Jimmy Harnen & Dann Huff. "'Cause you still got a lotta kisses left on your lips/ Yeah, you still got a lotta time to take away my breath/ You, ooh-ooh, still got a lotta drivin' me wild left/ With that smile, with those eyes, I ain't done lovin' you tonight/ Not yet, no, not yet,” he sings on the uplifting three-minute cut. The track follows his No. 1 hit, "Lady," a song that he wrote about his first-born, Presley, while also honoring his wife, Taylor Mills Young.
"It's a song about being in the moment and being present enough to recognize that the moment is special and wishing that it didn't have to end," Brett recently said of the track. "I hope that when we play this song live for people… that it’s just a happy experience for everybody and it gets everybody on their feet and dancin’ and movin’ and having a good time."
