2017 Farmers' Market Info

Little Rock, AR - For the last 4 decades, the River Market District has been home to the Little Rock Farmers’ Market. On Saturday, May 6, the Farmers’ Market will welcome farmers, artists, and other vendors from around the state to the River Market Pavilions for its 43rd season.

Sponsored by the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau (LRCVB), the Little Rock Farmers’ Market (LRFM) features farm-fresh produce from farms throughout the state and region offering everything from strawberries to bok choy, along with locally made foods, handmade crafts and more.

Located in the River Market’s open-air pavilions overlooking the Arkansas River and Riverfront Park, the Little Rock Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday in May-September from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m., ending September 30.

While the fresh produce Arkansans have eagerly awaited all spring is the star of the LRFM, a special celebration is planned for the grand opening on Saturday, May 6 including LRFM Mascot Dean the Bean who will welcome market shoppers from 9am – 11am.

Other special activities to enjoy on opening day are complimentary face paint by Glitterville Tattoos from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., and live entertainment. Parents can sign the kids up to participate in our newest Second Saturday event for kids, ‘Lil Farmers Club. The Second Saturday of each month will feature a variety of special guests:

Other special guests returning to celebrate ‘Second Saturday’ are Little Rock’s Master Gardeners, Central Arkansas Library System (CALS), and Rock City Rescue. New to ‘Second Saturday’ are a magic show and the ‘Lil Farmers’ Club.

For the third year, the LRFM will offer SNAP, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Participants will be able to purchase tokens inside Shop the Rock in the Market Hall for use at participating farmers booths. Signage will be displayed announcing the participating vendors.
