Deep discounts on a vast variety of books are what’s in store for the Friends of Central Arkansas Libraries (FOCAL) Used Book Sale on the Main Library campus, 100 Rock Street, July 13-15.
Basement sale books are $.50 (paperbacks) and $1 (hardbacks), and teachers receive a 25% discount with a valid school identification. Sale hours are 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, July 14-15. A $5 wristband may be purchased for entrance to our night shopping event on Thursday, July 13, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and 9:00 a.m. entrance on Friday and Saturday morning. FOCAL members may take advantage of all early entrance opportunities.
FOCAL members may also take advantage of a 50% discount on used books and a 20% discount on gifts at River Market Books & Gifts (RMBG), 120 River Market Ave. Hours for the sales event at River Market Books & Gifts are Thursday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., and Sunday, 1:00-5:00 p.m.
Funds from the book sale are donated to the Central Arkansas Library System and help provide, among other things, book club kits and Summer Reading Club materials for branches and special Saturday programming for children at Main Library.
