There's some bad news for snackers who love to dig into a sleeve of Ritz crackers. The company that makes the popular cracker has issued a voluntary recall of Ritz products over a potential risk of salmonella.
The fear stems from the whey powder that's used in the product and the risk that it is tainted with salmonella. The recall covers several varieties, all of which have expiration dates between January 14, 2019 and April 13, 2019. The company says the recall is a precaution and there have been no known cases of salmonella linked to its products. (Time)
The good news is that there's no known cases of salmonella poisoning currently linked to the crackers.
