After 16 seasons together on The Voice, it looks like Adam Levine is surrendering his coach's chair to someone else... And poor Blake Shelton was among the last to know!
According to Entertainment Weekly, Levine wasn't happy with some of the formatic changes to the show in Season 16 and didn't want to be a part of the series moving forward in that way, so he stepped down from the long time position of Coach. He and Blake Shelton had occupied a Coach's seat since the very first season, so obviously, it's going to be rough on Blake. Here's what he had to say on Twitter...

Also according to Entertainment Weekly, Levine's chair already has a new coach lined up for the job... It seems that Gwen Stefani will be returning as a coach for Season 17 when it begins
