Instead of canceling or rescheduling dates this year, the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau will relocate Movies in the Park to the East Pavilion behind the Market Hall when rain is forecast at 50% chance or greater. “Our goal is to provide quality programming to the community here at the River Market, so we have made arrangements to show the movies as planned this season despite forecasted rain”, said Diana Long, Director of River Market Operations.
Patrons may still bring picnics and coolers, blankets, chairs and leashed pets as usual. The River Market will make chairs available. Vendors are welcome to set up but are not expected, so picnics and takeout from River Market District restaurants are encouraged.
Announcements reminding moviegoers of the rain location will be made to the media, on social and at rivermarket.info on the day before the scheduled movie.
