This might have been one of the most heart felt, and most tear jerking performances in the history of DWTS, and Lauren Alaina should be SO proud of the job she did on her Contemporary dance.
"This week's dance is going to be very, very special for me because it lands on the 1-year anniversary of the death of my step-dad, Sam," Lauren shared with Gleb, before she reflects on everything she misses about him in the pre-taped segment before her performance. She also let everyone know that she wrote the song The Other Side in honor of her step-dad, Sam, and that they would be dancing to that song...
When the dance was finished, Lauren stood by for scores and then broke down into tears as she ran into the audience to hug her mom. So beautiful! Lauren and Gleb scored a 26 for the evening leaving them tied for 3rd place going into the next round.
