Carrie Underwood made a big announcement that she was going to release My Gift -- her first-ever collection of Christmas music on September 25th. She said that it will feature many of her favorite Christmas songs and that the title has a very special meaning to her. Carrie said, "I started thinking about the individual songs, and one of my favorites is Little Drummer Boy... They're bringing gifts to baby Jesus and he doesn't have anything, he's poor, and he says 'I know, I'm going to play my drum for him.' And to me, that's a gift that was given to him by God... that is my personal gift that I have, that I'm so blessed to have, and I want to give it back to Jesus. That's kind of how I landed on the title of this album."
There will be special guest collaborations on the project when it releases in September on digital and CD. Vinyl copies of The Gift will be available on October 30th. Fans can pre-order the new music and merchandise now.
