As a parent, I can't think of anything scarier than a missing child... And after watching this video, I can't imagine how any of this happened. This poor little girl was found about a 1/2 mile out into the ocean, riding on her unicorn floatie, and rescued by a Greek ferry that happened to see her drifting in the water.
The incident took place on Sunday in the Gulf of Corinth. The girl, believed to be between 4 and 5 years had reportedly “escaped the parents’ attention” and was swept out into the ocean on her favorite unicorn. When the parents realized that their little girl was nowhere to be seen, they informed the port authorities, who then alerted the captain of the local ferry to keep an eye out. The captain of the ferry spotted the child and slowly approached with the ferry. Crew members rescued both the girl and the inflatable unicorn.
The girl, that is seen to remain pretty cool during the adventure, was handed over safely to the parents. Check out the videos below to see the rescue!
