AI-powered robots first came for our jobs, and now they're coming for our hobbies! A Japanese robot, called TOKUFASTbot (TOKUI Fast Accurate Synchronized Motion Testing Robot), just set a new Guinness world record when it solved a Rubikâs Cube in 0.305 seconds. That beats the old robot record by 0.075 seconds. The record by a human is wicked slow â 3.13 seconds.
âThe TOKUI Fast Accurate Synchronized motion Testing Robot (TOKUFASTbot) named by its engineer can perform a 90° rotation time of 0.009 second thanks to its rotation mechanism, which is built with Mitsubishi Electricâs compact, high-power, signal-responsive servomotors and a color-recognition algorithm developed with proprietary AI technology,â Mitsubishi Electric Corporation said in their press release recently.
