Don't Stress w/Jess

For many of us, we're on week 2 of being at home and self isolating because of the pandemic... and with all this time on our hands, how do we cope with the fears, anxieties and worries we're facing?

Dr Lisa Evans from UAMS' Department of Psychiatry has been helping us deal with many of these concerns.

If you have a question or concern, please email it to jessjennings@iheartmedia.com - then listen at 10:40am every weekday morning and Dr Lisa will answer!

Here are some of the questions this week:

"How can I not feel like a home-school parent failure? I see all these social media posts from my friends doing extra art and science projects with their kids... and there's just SO much guilt!"

Dr Laura - Imperfect Homeschooling

"Why do people hoard?! It makes me SO angry!"

Dr Lisa - Hoarding

"How can I remain positive when there's no defined dates as to when the social-isolation will be lifted? If I knew a date, I know my family could make it, but mentally it's hard to have a plan when there is no plan."

Dr Lisa - Planning

"I have a mother in a senor living facility and I'm told I can't visit, regardless of what happens with her health. I want to be there for her and I'm told, literally, I can't... and it's freaking me out!"

Dr Lisa - Sr Parent

"Why does my heart beat out of my chest every time I wake up? And how can I try to ward off this anxiety?"

Dr Lisa - Panic Attacks

"My husband suffers with depression, he's on medication and has been for years, but being at home all the time, away from work and friends, I'm worried for him. What can I we do to keep his spirits up?"

Dr Lisa - Depression
