Taylor Swift addressed gossip that a third, pandemic album titled Woodvale is forthcoming.
Taylor Swift did not deny the rumor but explained sheepishly why “Woodvale” is written on the Folklore cover. Her followers are adamant that Taylor planted “Woodvale” as an Easter egg teasing this third, secretive album.
Monday night, Taylor told Jimmy Kimmel that “Woodvale” was the album’s codename. Only her inner circle new about the pandemic project and she kept hidden from them the actual album title. In its place, she wrote “Woodvale,” which has the same number of letters as “Folklore.” After they made a mock-up of the album artwork, with “Woodvale” written in the upper right corner, Taylor opted to go with a wordless cover.
They forgot to remove the codename before going to production. And that, Taylor claims, is why “Woodvale” appears on the Folklore album cover.
