Michael Phelps is the most decorated Olympian ever. He retired in 2016 with 23 gold medals.
However, the 36-year-old revealed that there are only three people who could make Michael consider swimming again– his sons. If five-year-old Boomer Robert, three-year-old Beckett Richard, or 22-month-old Maverick Nicolas were to ask him why he wasn’t competing, he’d have to think about it. “Anything for my kids,” he said.
And for the record, if Phelps did come back again, it would be in the 2028 games in Los Angeles. “I’m not coming back now – don’t get any ideas!” he said in a recent interview. “I have no desire to get in the water right now. I’m completely happy.”
