Snow Day Pictures!

A brutal winter storm hit a huge portion of the country on Monday, dumping large amounts of snow while delivering below-freezing temperatures and icy conditions. At least four people have died.

The storm left at least five million without electricity and the icy roads led to pileups on highways around the country.

According to the National Weather Service, at least 150 million people in the U.S. were experiencing winter weather or ice advisories.

For those unprepared for the brutal winter blast, it may be too late. The National Weather Service in Texas said on Sunday, "The time to prepare for this storm was yesterday." (The New York Times/Daily Mail)

  • In Houston alone, more than 120 accidents were reported on the roads.
  • Minnesota experienced record lows while 11-inches of snow fell in Seattle.
  • Governor Greg Abbott said, "This will be probably more snow over a larger swath of land to a higher degree than ever before in Texas history."
