If you're headed to the gas pump, you may notice that the prices have gone up just a little bit... Starting October 1, 2019, there will be a new 3 cent per gallon gasoline tax and a 6 cent per gallon diesel tax that is being used to help fund road improvements across the state. According to ARDOT, it should generate $90M+ in the next year.
This will be combined with some tax funding from the new casinos in Arkansas to help generate funding for road construction and repair projects in Arkansas.
