Mom Leanne Gormanley was busy cooking dinner when she heard her Amazon Echo device talking to her son, Bryce, while he was working on multiplication. And when she went in to check, she caught him asking Alexa for the answers.
Bryce isn’t the first kid to use the virtual assistant for homework help and he won’t be the last, but he was completely oblivious to being caught in the act. So his mom grabbed her phone and made a video of him asking for answers. Gormanley posted the video on Facebook, where it’s gotten 2.3-million views and has been shared more than 34,000 times.
In the video, we hear Bryce asking Alexa what eight multiplied by four is, as his mom tries to hold back her laughter. When she finally asks what’s going on, her sly son turns around and grins while explaining, “Doing my homework.” She scolds him for cheating and tells him he’ll have to do it all again himself, but in her post, she gives him a “10/10 for cleverness.”
