Stadium-Sized Asteroid to Pass by Earth

Scientists are keeping an eye on a huge asteroid that is expected to pass by Earth at a safe distance away, but close enough to make it onto NASA's "close approach" list.

The football stadium-sized rock, named 2002 NN4, is traveling at a speed of 20,000 mph and would inflict a catastrophic amount of damage if it collided with the earth, but fortunately it is expected to remain more than three million miles away. To put that in perspective, the moon is about 238,000 miles away.

So in other words, we have nothing to worry about.
