According to a new survey from Rand Corp, nearly one in four teachers say they may leave their job by the end of the school year.

Public school teachers who took the survey said they felt twice as likely to experience job related anxiety and stress than the general working population, and nearly 3 times more likely to experience depression. This huge increase in mental stress has many US educators re-evaluating their jobs and looking for a change of occupation.

Some of the stress factors that teachers outlined included the lack of assistance with technical work, lack of clarity between in-person or remote instruction, and a lack of implementation of COVID-19 safety measures.
