Darius Rucker Announces New Album Named After His Mother

Country star and 10 year Grand Ole Opry member Darius Rucker announced that he's going to release a new album in 2023 and it's got a very special meaning to him. The new album Carolyn's Boy is named after his late mother, and the album art will be a portrait of her.

"I wanted to name the record Carolyn's Boy because (my) Mom never got to see any of my success," Darius said in his interview with Craig Melvin on Today on November 4th.

The new album is slated for a 2023 release and will be the first album since his 2017 project called When Was The Last Time. The new record will feature his new song with Chapel Hart called "Ol Church Hymn" and you can listen to that here!
