April first opens the the 8th season of Jazz in the Park and that’s no joke! Little Rock’s favorite jazz night, will feature some of our favorite performers from prior seasons and add two NEW names to the lineup this April. Sponsored by the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau (LRCVB), partnering with Art Porter Music Education, Inc. (APME), Jazz in the Park celebrates local musicians in Little Rock’s jazz scene.
This season marks the sixth year partnering with APME, which offers scholarships to talented Arkansas music students who wish to further their education while promoting community service and volunteering. Visit www.artporter.org for more information.
Free and open to the public, this family-friendly event will feature a different band each Wednesday in April from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the History Pavilion. No Coolers Allowed.
Beer, wine, soft drinks and water will be available for sale, along with new Jazz in the Park koozies, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit Art Porter Music Education, Inc.’s scholarship fund. Lawn chairs and blankets are welcome, and there is some seating in the natural stone amphitheater at the History Pavilion
