Target and CVS Join Retail Chains Requiring Masks For Customers

Target and CVS are the latest major retailers to require face masks in all stores nationwide.

Target's policy will go into effect on Aug. 1st, and will provide disposable face masks at the entrance for any customer who doesn't have one. Target also said they would exempt those with underlying medical conditions as well as young children. The retail chain also added that they would add signage and station employees at store entrances to remind customers to wear masks.

CVS tweeted that they are "asking... customers help protect themselves and those around them," by wearing a face mask. CVS will enact its policy starting Monday, July 20th.

This follows several other major retail chains making similar announcements regarding masks in stores this week including Walmart, Best Buy, Kohl's, and Kroger.
