The Force Is Strong With This One

Star Wars Celebration

The force is strong with a seven-year-old Arizona girl who doesn't have to worry about the dark side of second grade -- because Luke Skywalker has her back.

N.J. Simmonds tweeted that her daughter, who is a big Star Wars fan, was afraid to wear her new Star Wars T-shirt to school because she was afraid the other kids would laugh at her for liking "boy stuff." She added, "Please RT and comment so I can show her how awesome girl Star Wars fans are."

The sad tweet went viral and received over 40,000 re-tweets and 90,000 likes. Even Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, saw it and tweeted, "Boy stuff? PLEASE! The Force is, and always will be strong with females here on Earth and in galaxies far, far away."

Simmonds says her daughter was so excited to hear what Hamill said and refuses to take the shirt off now. She said, "When Mark Hamill responded, I showed her and she smiled. She then said, 'Of course he said nice things because he's the good guy,' and she ran off to play. Like any normal kid should."

And then the one and only Mark Hamill answered in the most epic way possible! (LOVE this GIF!)
