Love Smart is a new dating app that requires potential users to take a test using a “unique testing mechanism” on general knowledge questions before they're given an account.
Basically, the quiz is filled with questions ranging from normal to obscure and you have three-minutes to answer as many as possible. The reasoning behind it is to weed out anyone with “subpar intelligence levels,” but be aware that it's not as easy as it sounds... One question might be basic algebra, and the next question might ask which world leader had a YouTube channel first or how much the budget for the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie was, or even asking whether Domino’s, Papa John’s or Pizza Hut is the oldest pizza chain. Definitely not the usual questions you'd come to expect.
Fortunately, they only require a 50% to pass, so people have a fighting chance.
