DJ's Top Shows To Watch While Stuck At Home

Multimedia streaming concept. Hand holding remote control

With the kids out of school until after Spring Break, and lots of people staying home due to coronavirus concerns, it's really easy to get caught up on your current shows or run out of things you've been meaning to watch, so what do you do? No worries, here's a list of some things you can track down to help pass the time!

If You're On Netflix:

  • Altered Carbon - Futuristic sci-fi show with a cool plot but NOT for the kiddos. At all. Ever.
  • As Good As It Gets - Jack Nicholson, Helen Hunt, Greg Kinnear rom-com. It's a little dated, bust still great.
  • Blade Runner - Shoulda happened by now, but still a sci-fi classic with Harrison Ford and the late Rutger Hauer
  • Chasing Amy - A Kevin Smith movie that isn't strictly Jay & Silent Bob. Not one for the kiddos either.
  • Cheers - The classic 80s comedy show in all of it's glory. Ted Dansen and crew dish up lots of old school laughs.
  • Coraline - It's kind of a kids movie, but a little creepy. I like the way it's filmed, but maybe not for the youngest fam.
  • The Dark Knight - Because, well, Batman!
  • Dexter - I was off again/on again about this show but it's got several seasons of crime drama with a twist. Hours of show to watch
  • Ex Machina - Another really crazy sci-fi show with an ending that I did NOT see coming at all.
  • Frasier - Another classic comedy series from the good ole days! May want to watch these before the new Frasier comes out.
  • The Good Place - It just finished its final season on TV, but you've got loads of episodes available online to start it over.
  • Groundhog Day - It's Bill Murray!
  • Inception - Crazy, trippy, Leo DiCaprio and Ellen Page sci-fi movie about invading people's dreams
  • Incredibles 2 - Great Disney cartoon for the whole family
  • Jerry McGuire - It had you at hello. And you know it.
  • Monty Python's Flying Circus - Classic comedy skits from the British crew
  • Monty Python & The Holy Grail - "We want... a shrubbery. A nice one."
  • NCIS - If you like cop drama type stuff, it might be up your alley, and with 15 seasons on Netflix, plenty to browse through!
  • The Office - This is that show that if you haven't seen it, you need to see it. Just saying...
  • Ozark - Jason Bateman and Laura Linney on the run from bad guys in the Arkansas Ozarks
  • A Shaun The Sheep Movie: Farmageddon - Good family entertainment for the kiddos.
  • Sherlock - By far, one of my favorite shows. Very smart, keep-you-guessing mysteries. Only 4 seasons, but a great binge.
  • Spiderman: Into The Spiderverse - Maybe a little much for the very littles, but the kids love this one, and the artwork is amazing!
  • Supernatural - If you're into werewolves, ghosts, and other creepy stuff, this could be a good show for you. SO many seasons to watch!
  • Tremors - Kevin Bacon B-Movie Goodness with special guest Reba McEntire! You should watch it once. Just saying.
