CDC Says All Arkansas Counties Are High Transmission COVID-19 Areas

The Center for Disease Control has a new report showing the current levels of COVID-19 transmission by county across the US. According to their Community Transmission Map, every county in Arkansas is currently considered a high transmission area.

The CDC labels a county as a high transmission area if their total positivity rate is higher than 10% or 1,000 people per 100,000 residents.

As the delta variant continues to surge, the CDC is recommending that everyone wear masks in public indoor settings, vaccinated or not, in high or substantial transmission areas.

Arkansas is one of 13 states with all of its counties listed as high transmission areas.
