Pandemic fatigue is real! And I don't know about you, but stress eating is how I've coped most of the time.
There are some foods that we can eat that helps us relieve stress!
Avocados - Doesn't matter if it's avocado toast or guacamole! Adding some to recipes is a good choice. There's a lot potassium in avocados, which helps lower blood pressure.
Fish - Fatty fish, specifically. Salmon is a great one... and has omega-3s and that can help manage adrenaline.
Tea - Chamomile or green tea, swapping a cup of tea in place of coffee on a stressful morning could calm your nerves instead of rev you up.
Dark Chocolate - Chocolate anyone else's go-to when stress hits? Yeah, me too. Pick up dark chocolate next time... it can help lower stress levels. (Reminding myself - just a little piece, not the whole bar, Jess!)
Tumeric - There are many healthy benefits from eating turmeric. Have you tried it on a latte? (I have not, but would be willing to try...) I also hear it's yummy on roasted cauliflower!
