Hitting Snooze Can Throw Off Your Day

Most of us have hit the snooze button to get “five more minutes” of sleep. It turns out, staying in bed just 14 minutes longer will throw your day off. That’s one of the takeaways from a One Poll/ Volteran Arthritis Pain Gel survey.

It’s no surprise that those asked said Mondays are ranked as the worst morning to get up, followed closely by Tuesday. People also admitted that morning is the most stressful time of the day…afterwe hit the snooze button. Thanks to cell phones and the variety of sounds, we also feel triggered if we hear our snooze tone from someone else’s phone.

Add osteoarthritis to the mix, which can develop as early as in our 20’s, and mornings become nasty at times. Those with arthritis wake up earlier just to add a treatment to their routine.

So, the next time you’re tempted to hit the snooze button, think about what kind of day you want to face.
